Capturing my Creative Journey : My portfolio

Creating my portfolio was more than just showcasing my work—it was about portraying me. I wanted it to reflect my creativity, love for adventure, and my personality: a blend of playful spontaneity and calm thoughtfulness. It’s not just a collection of projects; it’s a space where my story, style, and skills come to life.

Designing My Identity

I began by crafting a corporate identity that felt true to me. My logo, built from playful modular shapes, symbolizes creativity and adaptability—qualities I value deeply. The green and orange palette, inspired by my cozy, playful home aesthetic, pairs with a clean sans-serif font to create a calm yet approachable vibe.

A Space for Growth

While adding my work, I realized most of my bigger cases were older, and my recent work (which I can’t share publicly) wasn’t represented. But growth isn’t just about the work you can show, it’s about the journey. That’s why I introduced an Insights section, a space to share lessons learned, creative explorations, and behind-the-scenes stories. It felt like a natural way to give you, the visitor, a deeper sense of who I am beyond deliverables.

To bring the pages to life, I created custom mockups and illustrations. Drawing has always been a creative outlet for me, and incorporating it into my portfolio was a joy. These visuals reflect not just my skills but also my love for making ideas tangible.

What I Learned

Building my portfolio taught me to embrace my journey and tell my story authentically. It’s more than a website—it reflects my creativity, values, and growth, balancing playful spontaneity with calm intention.

I’m proud of how it turned out and excited for where it will go. Using Hostinger’s website builder showed me that it’s not about reinventing the wheel but creating something meaningful.

My advice? Make your portfolio personal, purposeful, and a true reflection of you.

Structuring the Content

Once I had the look and feel nailed down, I turned my attention to what I wanted to communicate. My first step was organizing my thoughts, what do I want visitors to know about me? From there, I drafted a sitemap, ensuring a clear flow of information. In Figma, I designed templates for key pages and case studies, weaving my personal touches into each screen.
